The Conference will be hosted at the main facilities of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano<\/a>, in Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bolzano is the main town of the alpine region of South Tyrol, and is considered the door to Dolomites, which are included in the UNESCO list of the world\u2019s protected natural paradises since 2009. Bolzano is a 100000-inhabitant town at the confluence of the rivers Etsch\/Adige, Eisack\/Isarco and Talfer\/Talvera. The centre, the main square, the grocery open market and the covered walkway are just a stone\u2019s throw away from the University building; don\u2019t miss a visit. South Tyrol (S\u00fcdtirol, Alto Adige), officially the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, is trilingual too. While German and Italian are the official languages in all its territory, the main language in some valleys is Ladin. South Tyrol is especially known for its beautiful mountainous landscape, towns, villages, incredible network of marked paths and bike lanes, spa and ski resorts. Beyond tourism, the main economic sectors include the food & beverage, automotive, ropeways, sport equipment and textile industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TRAIN<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bolzano railway station links all Italian, Austrian and German cities. Bolzano has direct train connections to Munich (4h), Innsbruck (2h), Trento (30\u2032), Verona (1h30\u2032), Milan (3h30\u2032), Bologna (3h), Florence (4h), Rome (5h) and Naples (6h). You need a changeover in Verona if you come from Venice (3h). Visit the websites of Trenitalia<\/a>, Italo<\/a>, \u00d6BB<\/a>, and Deutsche Bahn<\/a> for your convenience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A company operates shuttle connections<\/a> from major airports to Bolzano center. Airports include Milan (Malpensa and Linate), Innsbruck, Munich, Verona, and Bergamo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BUS<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also choose to travel with the low-cost long-distance bus service offered by Flixbus<\/a>. Through this service, Bolzano has direct connections with Innsbruck, as well as major Italian and German towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CAR<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By car there are highways from all neighbouring countries, well connected by the A22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AIRPORT<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The closest airports are in Verona (Italy) and Innsbruck (Austria). You might also consider to land in Munich (Germany), Milan, Bergamo, Venice, Bologna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
